Thanks to everyone that made it out last night for our show with Hutson at the Tonic Lounge. We had fun, and can’t wait to play there for some more people next time.
It was a bit of a rough show, as we had an injured Sean on drums. Over the weekend, Sean was hit by an auto whilst he was riding his penny-farthing. He’s gonna be fine, but a fractured wrist has put him out of commission for about 6 weeks. Then again, that ain’t so bad I guess…
Sometimes a gig isn’t great. Sometimes you play for your friend and the other band. Sometimes you don’t get paid. Sometimes you just flat-out fuck up.
This past weekend we were able to do 3/4 of the aforementioned “sometimes.’” The difference is, the weekend was a rousing success because of the other band we played with both nights. The Wherewithals are a Portland based band crafting some great music, and we loved playing music and hanging out with them. I hope we get to play more shows with them in the future…maybe to more than 6 people
So, Donerail has never claimed to be the smartest band ever. In fact, from time to time, we sound down right stupid. To allow our fans to relish in this, we’ve created the Taco Cart – a collection of silly/stupid/offbeat things we say. To kick it off:
Dan – There was no need for a two minute dueling tambourine solo!!!! Where’s the Taco Cart??!??!
Sean – It may be faster, but it’s the same tempo.
